Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Rippelle ("the Service", "we", "us"), a social media automation platform operated by TEAM du Centre ASBL, a nonprofit organization registered in Belgium (enterprise number: 0631.908.478).

By accessing or using Rippelle, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Rippelle is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that allows users to automate the publication of content across multiple social media platforms, including but not limited to:

• Facebook (Pages)
• Instagram (Business and Creator accounts)
• Discord (via webhooks)
• Bluesky
• Plurk
• SmartBots (Second Life bot service)

Rippelle is primarily designed for creators in virtual worlds such as Second Life, but is not limited to this use case.

3. Eligibility

To use Rippelle, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction)
• Have the legal authority to agree to these Terms
• Own or have authorization to manage the social media accounts you connect to Rippelle

4. Account & Access

To use Rippelle, you may need to connect one or more social media accounts by authorizing Rippelle through the respective platform's authentication process (e.g., Facebook OAuth).

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials and connected accounts
• All activity that occurs through your connected accounts via Rippelle
• Ensuring you have the right to publish content through the connected accounts

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Rippelle only for lawful purposes and in compliance with the terms of service of each connected platform. Specifically, you agree not to use Rippelle to:

• Publish spam, misleading, or deceptive content
• Distribute content that infringes intellectual property rights of third parties
• Post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, defamatory, or promotes violence
• Publish content that violates the terms of service of Facebook, Instagram, Discord, Bluesky, or any other connected platform
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, security measures, or access controls of any connected platform
• Circumvent plan limits by frequently connecting and disconnecting platforms to exceed the number of platforms included in your subscription
• Impersonate other individuals or entities
• Distribute malware or engage in phishing
• Resell or sublicense access to Rippelle without our written consent

5.1 User Conduct

We expect all users to interact with Rippelle staff and the community with respect and professionalism. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

• Insults, personal attacks, or abusive language directed at Rippelle staff or other users
• Harassment, threats, or intimidation in any form
• Spreading false information, defamation, or engaging in public attacks against Rippelle
• Trolling, spamming, or deliberately disruptive behavior
• Creating public drama or scandals intended to damage Rippelle's reputation

Violation of these conduct rules may result in immediate account termination as described in Section 10.

6. Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you submit through Rippelle (images, text, captions). By using Rippelle, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to transmit and publish your content to the platforms you have authorized — solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

We do not claim any ownership rights over your content. This license terminates when you disconnect your accounts or delete your data.

7. Third-Party Platforms

Rippelle integrates with third-party platforms (Meta, Discord, Bluesky, Plurk, SmartBots, etc.). Your use of these platforms through Rippelle is also subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. Rippelle is not responsible for:

• Changes to third-party APIs, terms, or availability
• Actions taken by third-party platforms on your accounts (e.g., suspensions, content removal)
• Data handling by third-party platforms once content is published

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep Rippelle available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Maintenance or updates
• Third-party API outages or changes
• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

We are not liable for any losses resulting from temporary unavailability of the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Rippelle is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied
• We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud or willful misconduct.

10. Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Rippelle, with or without notice, if:

• You violate these Terms, the acceptable use policy, or the user conduct rules
• You engage in abusive, insulting, or harassing behavior toward Rippelle staff or community members
• You engage in public defamation, trolling, or deliberately attempt to damage Rippelle's reputation
• Your use poses a security risk to the Service or other users
• Required by law or by a third-party platform

In cases of termination due to conduct violations, we may, at our sole discretion, issue a partial or full refund of any unused subscription period. However, we are under no obligation to do so, and repeated or severe violations will result in termination without refund.

You may terminate your use of Rippelle at any time by disconnecting your accounts and requesting data deletion. See our Privacy Policy for details on data deletion.

11. Modifications to the Service & Terms

We may modify these Terms or the Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Rippelle interface or by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Intellectual Property

The Rippelle name, logo, and software are the intellectual property of TEAM du Centre ASBL. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Rippelle platform without our written consent.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mons, Belgium.

Before initiating legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes amicably through direct communication.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
